The Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME) has published the first migration result and first waiting list for the MBBS and BDS courses for the 2025-2026 academic year. The results were officially released on Sunday evening and are now available on the DGME website.
According to DGME, the notice was published on January 25 at around 6:50 pm on its official website, dgme.gov.bd. A total of 102 candidates have been selected through the first migration process for transfer to new medical and dental colleges.
DGME said candidates selected under the MBBS, BDS Migration list must complete their admission process between January 26 and February 2, 2026. The authority also confirmed that candidates included in the first waiting list must finish their admission within the same deadline.
The migration system allows students to move from one medical or dental college to another based on merit and available seats. This process is part of the regular admission procedure for government medical and dental colleges in Bangladesh.

For students selected from the waiting list, DGME has clearly stated the documents required at the time of admission. Applicants must also submit original pass certificates and testimonials of both SSC and HSC or equivalent exams. In addition, an original citizenship certificate issued by a City Corporation mayor, municipality chairman, Union Parishad chairman, or ward commissioner is mandatory. Four recently taken attested passport-size colour photographs are also required.
DGME said special certificates are needed for tribal candidates. Candidates from hill districts must submit certificates issued by the Circle Chief and the Deputy Commissioner. Non-tribal candidates from those areas must provide certificates issued by the Circle Chief or Deputy Commissioner. Tribal candidates from other districts must submit certificates issued by the tribal chief and the concerned Deputy Commissioner.
The publication of the first migration and waiting results is an important step in finalising medical and dental admissions for the new academic year. It affects students who are seeking placement changes based on merit and seat availability.
DGME said no admission will be accepted after February 2, 2026, and advised candidates to complete all procedures within the given timeline.
