The BCS Result released on Tuesday afternoon; candidates can check scores on the BPSC website

The results of the 50th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Preliminary Examination have been published. A total of 12,385 candidates have passed the exam. The results were released on Tuesday, February 10, at 3:40pm.

Candidates can check their results on the official website of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) at bpsc.gov.bd. The commission published the 50th BCS Preli Result online for public access.

According to official information, 290,951 candidates applied for the 50th BCS preliminary examination. The exam was held on January 30 across the country. Tests took place at 190 centres in Dhaka and seven other divisional cities at the same time.

The preliminary exam is the first stage of the BCS selection process. Candidates who pass this stage will be eligible to sit for the written examination. The written exam is the next step before the viva or oral test.

The 50th BCS aims to recruit a total of 2,150 candidates. This includes both cadre and non-cadre posts. Out of these, 1,755 positions are cadre posts, according to the commission.

A large number of posts in this BCS are reserved for the health cadre. The commission plans to recruit 650 candidates for health-related positions. This makes it one of the largest health cadre intakes in recent BCS examinations.

In addition, 200 candidates will be recommended for the administration cadre. Another 117 candidates are expected to be recruited as police officers. The remaining posts will be filled in other cadres and non-cadre services.

The high number of applicants reflects strong interest in government jobs in Bangladesh. The BCS examination remains one of the most competitive recruitment processes in the country. Many candidates prepare for years to take part in the exam.

The 50 BCS Preliminary Result is an important step for thousands of candidates. Those who passed will now prepare for the written examination. The BPSC is expected to announce the schedule and instructions for the next phase in due course.

Candidates are advised to follow only official notices from the BPSC website for updates. Further details about the written exam will be shared by the commission in the coming days.
