Jamalpur Science and Technology University will observe a 19-day holiday on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. The announcement came in a notice signed by the university registrar on Monday, March 2.
According to the notice, all classes, examinations, and official activities will remain closed from March 8 to March 24. As Friday and Saturday fall before this period as weekly holidays, the total break will be 19 consecutive days.
The university said emergency services will continue during the holiday. These include electricity, water, gas, internet, and campus security services. Relevant departments will also remain active if any urgent need arises.
The administration has issued special instructions for teachers, officers, and employees. Before leaving their offices and classrooms, they must switch off all electrical appliances, including lights and fans, at their own discretion.

Staff members have also been asked to inform the authorities of their address and mobile phone number before leaving. This will help the administration contact them in case of any emergency.
Normal academic and official activities at the university will resume on March 25 after the holiday ends.
