The Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) may start collecting vacancy data for the 19th teacher registration from March 15 or 16. The process will depend on the readiness of the online platform being prepared by Teletalk Bangladesh Limited.
NTRCA Chairman, Md. Aminul Islam shared this information with the media on Wednesday (March 11).
According to NTRCA sources, the authority wants to begin the e-requisition process before the holiday of Eid al-Fitr. Officials recently held a meeting with Teletalk to speed up technical preparations. The authority will publish an official notice once the platform is ready.
“The process of collecting vacancy information online may start on March 15 or 16,” said Aminul Islam. He added that the submission period may continue until March 30. He also confirmed that Teletalk must complete the platform before the process begins.
The chairman also clarified the exam method for the 19th Teachers’ Registration. He said the test will follow a multiple-choice question (MCQ) format. The exam will carry 200 marks.
Recently, posts on Facebook claimed that a written test would be included. The NTRCA chairman rejected this claim. He said the official notice does not mention any written exam. He urged candidates not to be confused by unverified information.
Earlier, the e-registration of institutions began on February 9. This step was needed before publishing the 19th registration circular. The deadline was first set for February 22. Later, authorities extended it until March 1. The next step is the collection of vacancy data.
Meanwhile, changes are under discussion for the recruitment system. A proposal suggests a single 200-mark exam for school-college, madrasa, and technical sections. Earlier plans suggested different mark divisions for different sections.
Officials at the Ministry of Education believe separate systems could create unfair differences. They now support a common exam structure for all sections.
Sources also said Viva marks may be added for the first time. In past registration exams, viva scores were not included. The ministry has shown a positive view of this proposal.
Officials also plan to count the age limit from the date of the circular. This rule may apply for the first time in the 19th registration process.
NTRCA is expected to announce further instructions after the vacancy submission period ends.
