Dhaka Board Cancels 14 HSC Exam Centres for 2026 Session

HSC Exam Center 2026: This year, 14 centers has cacelled. Decision affects centres across eight districts, including one major Dhaka college.

The Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has cancelled 14 centres for the 2026 HSC examinations. The affected centres are located in Dhaka, Narayanganj, Narsingdi, Tangail, Faridpur, Madaripur, Rajbari, and Kishoreganj districts.

The decision was announced in a letter signed by Controller of Examinations Professor S. M. Kamal Uddin Haider on Thursday (March 12).

According to the letter, some centres were cancelled after requests from the institutions. Some were removed due to a low number of examinees. Others were cancelled following recommendations from district administrators.

Five centres in Dhaka city have been removed. These include Kadamtala Purba Basabo School and College, Government Bangla College, Kamarpara School and College, National Bank Public College, and Rajarbagh Police Lines College.

Three centres in Narayanganj were also cancelled. These are Bhulta Higher Secondary School in Rupganj, Adarsha Girls School and College, and Narayanganj High School and College.

Other cancelled centres include Narayanpur Rabeya College in Narsingdi and Shaheed Shahed Hazari College in Tangail. Faridpur College, Charmuguria College in Madaripur, Dr Abul Hossain College in Rajbari, and Syed Ashraful Islam Municipal Women’s College in Kishoreganj are also on the list.

Recently, Education Minister Dr A. N. M. Ehsanul Haque Milon raised concerns about exam centre management. He said some centres face allegations of helping students cheat through organised groups.

He said the government will review exam centres further and remove more if needed. The board is expected to finalise the updated centre list before the 2026 examinations begin.
