The government will begin accepting online applications for scholarships and stipends for Bachelor’s (Pass) and equivalent level students from May 17.
The support will be provided under the Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust for the 2025–26 fiscal year. The application process will continue until June 14, according to a notice published by the National University.
The notice said meritorious students from financially insolvent families studying at institutions affiliated with the University of Dhaka, National University, and Islamic Arabic University of Bangladesh will be eligible to apply.
The instruction was issued in a letter signed by Smriti Karmakar, Managing Director and Additional Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust. The letter was published on the National University website on Monday, May 16.
According to the notice, students studying in the first year of Bachelor’s (Pass) and equivalent courses for the 2023–24 academic session will receive stipends, tuition support, and other benefits in 2026.

Students can submit applications online from 9:00 am on May 17 until 11:59 pm on June 14. Applicants must complete the prescribed form through the official online system.
After the student application period ends, heads of educational institutions will upload attendance records and selection committee resolutions to the system. Institutions will be able to forward applications from 9:00 am on June 15 until 11:59 pm on June 21.
The notice also said detailed information about the stipend programme will be available on the Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust website and the e-Stipend Management System notice board.
Authorities said the entire process will be completed online, and applicants will not need to submit any hard copies.
