PMEAT Scolarship for MBBS, Engineering Students

Students from financially insolvent families who are studying in government medical, engineering, and nursing institutions can now apply for special financial assistance under the Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust (PMEAT).

The support is available for first-year students admitted to MBBS, BSc Engineering, and BSc Nursing programmes in the 2025–2026 academic session. According to a notice published by the Ministry of Education, the deadline for submitting applications is 25 May 2026.

The notice said the Pmeat Scholarship will be provided under the Financial Assistance Provision Guidelines-2025 of the Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust. Only students from financially insolvent families studying in government educational institutions are eligible to apply.

Application forms and detailed guidelines are available on the official PMEAT website. Students must complete the prescribed form and attach the required documents before submission.

Applications can be submitted directly or sent by post during office hours to the Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust at House No. 44, Road No. 12/A, Dhanmondi, Dhaka-1209.

Authorities said students can contact the Trust’s helpline numbers for assistance during office hours from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The contact numbers are 02-55000428, 01778958356, and 01778964156.

The financial support programme aims to help students from low-income families continue higher education in critical sectors such as healthcare, engineering, and nursing. Officials expect the application process to continue until the deadline later this month.
