The government has approved a new policy for the primary scholarship examination. The policy will guide the scholarship test for Grade 5 students in government primary schools.
According to the Directorate of Primary Education, the Primary Scholarship Examination Policy–2026 was approved at an inter-ministerial meeting. The meeting reviewed the draft policy before giving final approval.
Officials shared the update in a letter issued on Monday, 9 March. The letter was sent to the relevant authorities for necessary action. It also attached the full policy document for implementation.
The scholarship examination is held for students completing Grade 5 in primary schools. The new policy sets rules and procedures for organising the exam.
