The IAU Honours examination results of the Islamic Arabic University were published on Sunday (March 8, 2026). The overall pass rate is 82.98 percent.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Md. Shamsul Alam formally announced the results at noon. The announcement took place at the university’s office. Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mohammad Shahidul Islam handed over the summary of the results to the Vice-Chancellor.
The IAU Results are available on the university’s official website. According to the university, 19,036 students registered across four academic years. Among them, 12,390 students took part in the examinations. A total of 10,272 students passed.
The results also show that 330 students failed in the examinations. Six students were expelled. Year-wise data shows different pass rates across the four years. In the first year, 3,220 students passed out of 3,955 examinees. The pass rate for the year is 81.42 percent.

In the second year, 2,651 students passed out of 3,118 students. The pass rate is 85.02 percent. In the third year, 2,531 students passed among 3,052 examinees. The pass rate stands at 82.93 percent. In the fourth year, 1,870 students passed out of 2,265 students, with a pass rate of 82.56 percent.
While announcing the results, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Shamsul Alam said the university is committed to ensuring quality education. He said the institution aims to develop skilled human resources through strong academic results.
He added that the Islamic Arabic University will continue efforts to modernise madrasa education and make it more employment-oriented.
University officials, including Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mohammad Abu Zafar Khan and Treasurer A S M Mamunur Rahman Khalili, were present at the event.
The Honours 2024 written examinations began on December 6 and ended on December 29. The oral examinations concluded on January 11.
