Jashore Board Adds 8 New HSC Centres, Suspends 11

Jashore Board Adds 8 New HSC Centres

The Jashore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has approved eight new examination centres for this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams. At the same time, it has suspended the centres of 11 colleges.

This year’s HSC examinations are scheduled to begin on July 2. The board said the decisions were taken by its committee after reviewing exam conditions and centre requirements.

The information was confirmed by the Board’s Controller of Examinations, Professor Dr Abdul Matin. A related notice has also been published on the board’s official website.

According to the board, the new centres were approved because those colleges now have a suitable environment for holding public examinations.

The eight new centres are Mollahat Laila Azad Degree College in Bagerhat, Nowapara Model College in Jashore, Matribhasha College in Shoronkhola of Bagerhat, Kushtia City College, Government Laudob Bajua Kailashganj Degree College in Dacope of Khulna, Dr. Mashiur Rahman Women’s College in Sharsha of Jashore, Raghunath Nagar College in Jhikargacha, and Chalna College in Dacope of Khulna.

The board also suspended 11 existing centres. It said the action was taken due to allegations of irregularities during past examinations and because some centres did not have the required number of examinees.

The suspended centres are Khulna Islamia College, Daud Public School and College in Jashore, Nowapara Women’s College in Jashore, Lohagara Lahuria S M A Ahad College in Narail, Dariapur College in Sreepur of Magura, G K Ideal Degree College, Nakela Sammilani Degree College, Shatrujitpur Kaliprasanna College in Magura Sadar, Hajipur Sammilani College, Government Bir Muktijoddha Asaduzzaman College in Mohammadpur, and Jhenaidah Cadet College.

Dr. Matin said the board is working to ensure a fully cheating-free examination environment this year.

He added that if any clear complaint with proper documents is submitted against any examination centre before the exams begin, the board will take quick action.

The changes are important for students and guardians across the region, as centre arrangements often affect travel, seating plans, and exam-day management. More instructions are expected before the July 2 start date.
