NTRCA May Publish 19th Teacher Registration Notice Before Eid

The Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) may publish the notice for the 19th teacher registration before Eid al-Fitr. The move aims to recruit entry-level teachers for private educational institutions across Bangladesh.

On Tuesday (March 3), an NTRCA source said the process of collecting vacancy information, known as e-requisition, will begin this week. Educational institutions will get 10 days to submit their vacancy data. After this process ends, the authority plans to issue the 19th registration notice before Eid.

However, officials said the timeline depends on how quickly institutions submit their information. If the e-requisition deadline is extended, the publication of the notice will also be delayed.

NTRCA Chairman, Md. Aminul Islam told to the media, “We want to publish the notice for the 19th registration before Eid. The matter depends on the collection of vacancy information. Even if the notice is published before Eid, the acceptance of applications will begin after Eid. If, for any reason, it is not possible to publish the notice before Eid, it will be published after Eid.”

He also confirmed that the 19th registration examination will be held under the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) method. The exam will carry a total of 200 marks.

Recently, posts on several Facebook groups claimed that a written exam would be introduced in the 19th registration. Responding to this, the chairman said the method is clearly mentioned in the circular. “It does not state that there will be a written exam. So there is nothing to be confused about. The 19th registration examination will be held in the MCQ method with a total of 200 marks,” he said.

For this registration cycle, e-registration activities of educational institutions began on February 9. The initial deadline was February 22, but authorities later extended it until March 1. The next step is to collect vacancy data from institutions.

Changes are also being considered in the recruitment system. A 200-mark examination has been proposed for three divisions: school-college, madrasa, and technical.

Earlier proposals suggested different mark distributions for each division. However, the Ministry of Education believes separate systems could create discrimination. Officials are now considering a uniform mark pattern for all three divisions.

Sources said several proposals were discussed, including different exam systems for school-college, technical, and madrasa streams. A decision has been made to keep the same examination system for all three to avoid inequality.

Another major change is the inclusion of viva marks. In previous NTRCA registration exams, viva scores were not added to the final result. For the first time, Viva marks will be included under new regulations. The Ministry of Education is positive about this proposal.

Officials also said that, for the first time, candidates’ age will be calculated from the date of publication of the 19th registration notice.

Further details will be available once the official notice is published.
