The SSC ICT Exam 2026 is set to be held on Thursday (April 29) across Bangladesh. The exam will begin at 10 AM and continue until the time stated in the question paper. Candidates must enter their exam centres at least one hour before the start time and take their seats 30 minutes before the exam.
The total mark for the ICT paper is 50. Officials said all centres have been prepared to hold the examination under existing rules.
A total of 1,857,344 candidates are expected to sit for this year’s SSC and equivalent exams. Of them, 1,418,398 students are under nine general education boards. Another 304,286 candidates are under the Madrasa Education Board, while 134,660 are under the Technical Education Board.
The gender split is almost even this year. Data shows 930,305 male candidates and 927,039 female candidates will take part.
Among all boards, the Dhaka Education Board has the highest number of candidates. A total of 366,650 students will sit under the board. Of them, 169,939 are male, and 196,711 are female. The board has 510 exam centres and 3,441 participating institutions.
The Sylhet Education Board has the lowest number of candidates. It has 89,421 examinees, including 35,530 males and 53,891 females. The board will use 225 centres and 973 institutions.
The large number of candidates highlights the scale of the national exam system, with authorities expected to monitor attendance and exam operations closely on the day.
