SSC Physics Exam 2026 to Be Held Sunday Across Bangladesh

The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Physics examination for Science Group students will be held across Bangladesh on Sunday, May 10. The exam will begin at 10 AM and continue until 1 PM.

On the same day, students from the Humanities Group will sit for the History examination, while Business Studies Group candidates will take the Finance and Banking exam.

According to the exam mark distribution, the Physics subject includes 50 marks for the written section and 25 marks for multiple-choice questions (MCQ). The remaining 25 marks are allocated for the practical examination.

Candidates will receive 25 minutes to complete the MCQ section. After that, they will have two hours and 30 minutes for the written part of the exam.

Education authorities said students must enter their examination centres and take their seats at least 30 minutes before the exam starts. The OMR answer sheets will be distributed at 9:30 AM, while the MCQ question papers will be handed out at 10 AM.

This year, a total of 1,857,344 students registered for the SSC and equivalent examinations nationwide. Among them, 1,418,398 candidates are under the nine general education boards.

The Madrasa Education Board has 304,286 registered candidates, while the Technical Education Board has 134,660 candidates.

Official figures show that male and female participation remains nearly equal this year. A total of 930,305 male students and 927,039 female students are taking part in the examinations.

The Dhaka Education Board has the highest number of candidates among all boards. A total of 366,650 students are appearing under the board this year. Of them, 169,939 are male, and 196,711 are female. The board is conducting examinations through 510 centres and 3,441 institutions.

In contrast, the Sylhet Education Board has the lowest number of candidates. A total of 89,421 students are registered there. Among them, 35,530 are male, and 53,891 are female. The board has arranged exams at 225 centres involving 973 institutions.

The Rajshahi Education Board has 177,709 candidates this year, while the Comilla Education Board has 146,817 candidates. The Jessore Education Board has 135,089 registered examinees.

The ongoing SSC and equivalent examinations are being conducted under tightened rules and scheduled timings set by the education boards nationwide.
