Vivo has confirmed key hardware details of its upcoming Vivo X300s smartphone ahead of launch. The device is expected to debut in China on March 30 alongside other new products.
The company said the Vivo X300s will include a 7,100mAh battery. This is the largest battery ever used in a Vivo X-series flagship phone. The model is also expected to launch together with the Vivo X300 Ultra.
Vivo confirmed the phone will feature a 6.78-inch flat display. The screen will support a 144Hz refresh rate for smoother motion. This makes it the first X-series phone to reach this level. The company also said the display can support native 144 frames-per-second gameplay in some multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games.
Other confirmed features include dual stereo speakers and a custom vibration motor. The phone will also include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner for security. Vivo also confirmed USB 3.2 Gen 1 support for faster wired data transfer.
The X300s appears to focus on battery life and multimedia use. Earlier X300 and X300 Pro models had batteries around 6,500mAh. The increase may help users who play games or watch videos for long hours.
Leaks shared by Chinese technology bloggers suggest more details. These reports say the phone may use a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. Reports also mention a possible 200-megapixel camera developed with Zeiss. A 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera for zoom photos has also been mentioned. Vivo has not confirmed these camera or processor details.
Separate leaks claim the phone may offer four storage options. These include 12GB RAM with 256GB or 512GB storage. Higher models may include 16GB RAM with 512GB or 1TB storage. Colour options mentioned include green, purple, white, and black.
Reports also suggest sales could begin on April 3 in China. There is no official word yet on launches in India or Bangladesh.
Vivo is expected to share full specifications and market plans at the official launch event later this month.
