Vivo has begun teasing the launch of the Vivo Y500 4G in Nepal, marking the smartphone’s upcoming global debut. The company has confirmed key features, including an 8,100mAh battery and a 1.5K Infinity AMOLED display.

The Vivo Y500 4G is a different model from the Vivo Y500 5G that launched in China in September last year. Promotional material released by Vivo highlights the device’s focus on battery life and display quality, two areas that could help it stand out in the budget smartphone segment.

According to Vivo, the phone will feature a large 8,100mAh BlueVolt battery. Such a battery capacity is uncommon in this price category and could offer multi-day usage for many users. The company has also confirmed a 1.5K AMOLED display, a resolution that is rarely seen in budget smartphones, where Full HD+ screens remain more common.

While Vivo has not officially announced the processor, a recent Google Play Console listing suggests the device could be powered by the Unisoc T7300 chipset. The listing also indicates that the smartphone may come with 8GB of RAM and run Android 16 out of the box.

Images shared by the company show the phone in a white colour option with a vertically arranged rear camera module. Vivo has also described the handset as featuring a “trendy camera design” and an “ultra fast and powerful” processor, though detailed hardware specifications have not yet been confirmed.

The Vivo Y500 4G appears to differ significantly from the Chinese Vivo Y500 5G. The 5G model includes a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, a 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, a 50MP main camera, and 90W fast charging support paired with an 8,200mAh battery.

For Indian consumers, the device may attract attention because of its unusually large battery and higher-resolution AMOLED display. Most smartphones in the sub-Rs 20,000 category typically offer batteries of around 5,000mAh to 6,000mAh.

Vivo has not yet announced the official launch date, pricing, or market availability details for the Y500 4G. More information is expected as the company continues its launch campaign in the coming weeks.
