The Islamic Arabic University (IAU) has published the results of the three-year Fazil (Pass) Examination–2024, with an overall pass rate of 93.63 per cent.
The results were officially announced on Thursday (January 29, 2026), at 10:00 am at the university. IAU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md. Shamsul Alam declared the IAU Result after receiving them from Examination Controller Mohammad Ali.
According to the university, a total of 119,049 students appeared in the examinations across the first, second, and third years. Among them, 111,994 students passed. The results of 309 students have been withheld.
The year-wise pass rates show strong performance. The pass rate in the first year is 88.84 per cent. In the second year, it is 96.42 per cent. The third year recorded the highest success rate at 97.71 per cent.
The Fazil examinations were held from October 25, 2025, to December 10, 2025, at centres across the country under the Islamic Arabic University.
Speaking at the IAU Result 2026 announcement programme, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md. Shamsul Alam congratulated the successful students. He said ensuring good results and providing quality education is a responsibility and a trust of the university.
He added that the university will continue all-out efforts to modernise madrasa education. The aim is to make it more job-oriented and suitable at both national and international levels.

Several senior officials were present at the event. They included Pro–Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Shahidul Islam, Treasurer A. S. M. Mamunur Rahman Khalili, and Registrar Md. Ayub Hossain. Madrasa Inspector Md. Gias Uddin, along with teachers, officers, and employees of the examination department, also attended.
IAU authorities said detailed information about the examination results is available on the university’s official website at http://iau.edu.bd/. From next Sunday, institution-wise results can also be downloaded by madrasa authorities.
Examination Controller Mohammad Ali clarified the status of the withheld results. He said students whose results have been withheld do not need to submit any application. These results will be published automatically within the next 45 days.
The Fazil degree is an important qualification under the madrasa education system in Bangladesh. Each year, a large number of students appear in the examinations, which play a key role in higher education and employment opportunities.
University officials said the publication process was completed following established rules and procedures. They also urged students and institutions to rely only on official sources for result-related information.
