COU B and C Unit Admission Tests Tomorrow

More than 96 candidates per seat in ‘B’ unit and 64 per seat in ‘C’ unit.

The admission tests for the ‘B’ and ‘C’ units of Comilla University (CoU) for the 2025-2026 undergraduate Honours academic year were held on Saturday (30 January) at centres in Comilla and Rajshahi.

According to university administration sources, competition remained high in both units this year. On average, about 96 candidates competed for each seat in the ‘B’ unit, while around 64 candidates competed for each seat in the ‘C’ unit.

The ‘B’ unit admission test began at 11:00 am. It covers the faculties of Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, and Law. The ‘C’ unit test, under the Faculty of Business Studies, was held at 3:00 pm on the same day. The authority conducted the A Unit Admission Test on January 30, 2026.

Both examinations were conducted simultaneously at Comilla University and Rajshahi University centres, officials said.

The ‘B’ unit has a total of 390 seats this year. Against these seats, 37,614 candidates submitted applications. Among them, 24,991 candidates took the test at the Comilla University centre, while 12,623 appeared at the Rajshahi University centre.

In the ‘C’ unit, there are 200 seats in total. A total of 12,830 candidates applied. Of them, 9,969 candidates sat for the exam at the Comilla University centre and 2,861 at the Rajshahi University centre.

The admission tests were held for one hour in multiple-choice question (MCQ) format, carrying 100 marks. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks were deducted. The minimum pass mark was set at 33.

Earlier, on 28 January, the Comilla University administration issued several instructions through a press conference and an official notice to ensure the tests were held smoothly and peacefully.

The high number of applicants highlights strong demand for admission to Comilla University, especially in arts, social sciences, law, and business studies. University officials say clear instructions and multiple centres were used to manage the large number of candidates.

The university is expected to announce the next steps of the admission process after evaluating the test results, according to administration sources.
