Honor X6d: 5G Phone with Upgraded Camera, Strong Processor – Price is Attractive

New entry-level 5G phone features a 50MP rear camera and Android 15 out of the box.

Honor has quietly listed a new budget 5G smartphone in the United Arab Emirates. The device, called the Honor X6d, appears in a local retail store with updated camera hardware and entry-level specifications.

The phone is closely related to the Honor Play 60A, which launched in China late last year. The main upgrade is the rear camera. The new model carries a 50-megapixel f/2.0 main camera. The Play 60A had a 13-megapixel f/2.2 sensor. Despite the higher resolution, video recording remains limited to 1080p at 30 frames per second.

On the front, the phone keeps a 5-megapixel f/2.2 selfie camera. There are no additional rear lenses listed.

The device runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 processor. This is a 6-nanometre chip designed for basic 5G smartphones. Its main strength is built-in 5G connectivity at a lower cost. The handset is paired with 4GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The listing does not confirm if storage can be expanded.

The phone runs Android 15 out of the box. Honor is expected to use its MagicOS interface on top of the Android system.

On the front, the device features a 6.75-inch LCD display with 720p+ resolution. The store listing does not mention a fingerprint scanner. If available, it is likely placed on the side.

Battery capacity is listed at 5,260mAh. The Play 60A was marketed with a 5,300mAh battery. The small difference suggests the battery may be similar, with only a minor change in rated capacity.

The handset supports dual SIM cards. Other connectivity features such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are not detailed in the store listing. For comparison, the Play 60A includes Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3 but does not support NFC.

The device is priced at AED 509 in the UAE. This equals roughly $138 or about Tk 15,000 in direct currency conversion. It is available in Midnight Black and Ocean Cyan.

Recent certification data from the Global Certification Forum (GCF) shows the same model number, NLA-NX1, linked to another name — Honor 500 Smart. However, no official statement has clarified the branding difference.

Honor has not yet announced launch plans for other markets.
