NBTC listing confirms entry-level phone as launch nears

A new smartphone called the Poco C81 Pro has received certification in Thailand. The approval came from the (NBTC). The listing confirms the device does not support 5G connectivity.

The Thai certification shows the model number 25128PC17G. It confirms the device will support standard 4G networks. The phone is part of Poco’s entry-level C-series. This suggests it will target budget users.

The device was also certified in Indonesia in January. At that time, it appeared under the name Poco C81. The approval was granted by , the country’s telecom regulator. The new Thai listing indicates the same device now carries the Pro branding.

Reports suggest the phone may also launch in some markets as the Redmi A7 Pro. Xiaomi often rebrands devices under different names in various regions. However, there is no official confirmation yet about the final branding in India and Bangladesh.

If the expected specifications are accurate, the Poco C81 Pro may feature a 6.9-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A higher refresh rate can make scrolling smoother. The phone is expected to use the Unisoc T7250 processor. It may come with 4GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of storage.

The rear camera could include a 50-megapixel main sensor. On the front, it may have a 13-megapixel camera for selfies. The battery is expected to be 6,000mAh with support for 15W wired charging.

The device is likely to run Android 15 at launch. Android 16 was released in June. However, there is no official launch date yet.

The device may offer a large screen and big battery at an affordable price. Final pricing and availability details are expected once the company makes a formal announcement.
