The SSC Math Exam 2026 will take place on Sunday, May 3, across Bangladesh. The exam will begin at 10:00 AM and continue until 1:00 PM. All candidates must enter their exam centres at least 30 minutes before the start time.
According to official guidelines, the multiple-choice question (MCQ) section will be held first. It will start at 10:00 AM and run for 30 minutes. The written part of the exam will then begin at 10:30 AM and continue until 1:00 PM.
Mathematics is widely considered one of the most difficult subjects at the secondary level. Many students prepare for months to perform well in this paper, which often plays a key role in overall results.
This year’s SSC and equivalent exams began on April 21, 2026. A total of 1,857,344 candidates are taking part nationwide. Among them, 1,418,398 students are under nine general education boards. The Madrasa Education Board has 304,286 candidates, while the Technical Education Board has 134,660.
The gender breakdown shows near equal participation. There are 930,305 male candidates and 927,039 female candidates appearing in the exams this year.
Attendance and discipline have been key concerns during the ongoing exams. On the first day, 25,408 students were absent, and seven people were expelled, including one invigilator. On the second day, around 27,000 candidates were absent, while 19 students were expelled for unfair means.
The number of absentees rose on the third day, with more than 34,000 students missing the exam. A total of 40 candidates were expelled that day. On the fourth day, 32,392 candidates were absent, and 49 people were expelled.
On the fifth day, authorities reported that nine students were expelled nationwide. The figures were confirmed by the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee after each exam day.
Education officials continue to monitor exam centres closely to prevent malpractice. Strict rules remain in place to ensure a fair exam process for all candidates.
The Mathematics exam is expected to see full participation, as it is a compulsory subject. Authorities have urged students to follow all instructions and arrive on time to avoid any issues.
The SSC examinations will continue in the coming weeks as scheduled by the education boards.
