The big day has finally arrived! The results of the Primary School Scholarship Examination will be announced today, Sunday, July 12, 2026, and the Minister of Education himself will hold a press conference to unveil them.
A press conference is scheduled for 12:00 noon in the conference hall of the International Mother Tongue Institute in the capital. Dr. A. N. M. Ehsanul Haque Milon, Minister of Primary and Mass Education, and the Minister of State for Primary Education, Bobby Hajjaj, will be present and will formally announce the results.
The ministry confirmed the information in a press release issued on Saturday by its Senior Information Officer, Abdullah Shibli Sadik.
Result Goes Live After the Press Conference
According to the ministry, the press conference will present several important updates regarding the general and primary education sectors, along with detailed information on scholarship results. The results will be officially published after the press conference; that is, students and their parents will be able to check them starting at noon.
Once the results go live, they can be checked in two ways:
- SMS: Type DPE (space) Roll Number and send to 16222 (Example: DPE 123456). The reply SMS will carry the student’s result.
- Online: Visit the DPE’s official IPEMIS portal at ipemis.dpe.gov.bd, enter the roll number, exam year and upazila, and view or download the result sheet as a PDF.
Officer Suspended Over the Result Leak
There is an important development related to these results. Prior to today’s announcement, the results for nine districts in the Dhaka Division accidentally appeared on the live server last Thursday and were subsequently leaked on social media.
The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has temporarily suspended the accused official, Mr. Mehtab Kayes, Assistant Maintenance Engineer at the Primary Education Directorate. The suspension order was issued on Friday on charges of misconduct, in accordance with the Regulations on Discipline and Appeals for Public Officials. An independent committee, formed by the Primary Education Directorate, is also investigating the incident.
Due to this leak, we remind you once again: any results file that circulated on social media before today is not official. Only the results published through official channels after today’s press conference should be relied upon.
82,500 Young Achievers Await
Today’s announcement will bring joy to tens of thousands of families. A total of 82,500 students will receive scholarships this year: 66,000 from public elementary schools and 16,500 from private schools and kindergartens. Of these, 33,000 will receive academic merit scholarships of 300 taka per month, while 49,500 will receive general scholarships of 225 taka per month, each with a one-time annual grant of 225 taka. Scholarship recipients will enjoy these benefits for two years after passing the fifth grade.
More than 640,000 students took the exam in April: approximately 550,000 from public elementary schools and about 90,000 from kindergartens.
We will publish the direct link to the results, pass statistics, and all the information announced at the press conference as soon as the results are available today. Stay tuned to our Education section and best of luck to all the little stars hoping for their first big result!
