GST 2026 Admission Tests End with A Unit

The ‘A’ Unit admission test under the General, Science and Technology (GST) cluster system was held across Bangladesh on Friday, April 10. The exam took place from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 21 centres nationwide. A total of 166,102 candidates participated in the science stream test.

With this exam, the cluster admission process for the 2025–2026 academic year has officially ended. This year, 284,480 students applied to 20 public universities under the GST system. Among them, 166,162 applied for the ‘A’ Unit, 93,102 for the ‘B’ Unit (Humanities), and 25,185 for the ‘C’ Unit.

Authorities required candidates to arrive at centres at least one hour before the exam. Students had to carry their admit cards and necessary documents. The test followed a multiple-choice question (MCQ) format, with a total of 100 marks. The minimum pass mark was set at 30. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Earlier, the ‘C’ Unit admission test was held on March 27. Results were published on March 29, two days after the exam. The ‘B’ Unit test took place on April 3, and results were released on April 6.

The GST cluster system allows students to apply to multiple universities through a single exam. It aims to reduce travel and costs for applicants.

Authorities are expected to announce the ‘A’ Unit results in the coming days.
