The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has declared the Madhyamik Class 10 examination results for 2026. Students can now access their WBBSE Result 2026 online through the official portals after the board activated the result links on Thursday.
This year, the overall pass percentage stood at 86.83%. Around 9.71 lakh students appeared for the examination across the state. The board also confirmed that 131 students secured places in the top 10 merit list.
Abhirup Bhadra from Uttar Dinajpur topped the state by scoring 698 out of 700 marks, or 99.71%. Priyatosh Mukherjee from Birbhum secured the second position with 696 marks. Three students shared the third rank with 695 marks each.
Students can check their WBBSE Result on wbresults.nic.in and wbbse.wb.gov.in. They must enter their roll number and date of birth to download the provisional marksheet.
The board said the websites were experiencing slow loading due to heavy traffic shortly after the result announcement. Students can also access their marks through DigiLocker, SMS services, and mobile applications such as iResult and Madhyamik Result available on the Play Store.
To receive results by SMS, students need to type “WB 10” followed by their roll number and send it to 56070, 56263, or 5676750.
Schools have been instructed to collect original marksheets and certificates from designated camp offices from 10.30 am onwards. The online scorecard will remain provisional until students receive official documents from their schools.
Kalimpong recorded the highest district pass percentage at 96.10%, according to board data released during the official press briefing.
Students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for scrutiny or re-evaluation under WBBSE rules. The board is also expected to announce the compartment examination details in the coming weeks.
After the result declaration, students will begin the admission process for Higher Secondary courses in Science, Commerce, and Arts streams across West Bengal schools.
