Results for first-year Honours Business Studies programmes were released on Wednesday morning through the university website.

Rajshahi University (RU) has published the results of the B Unit admission test for first-year undergraduate (Honours) programmes for the 2025-2026 academic session. The results have been released on Wednesday, 28 January, at 11:00 am.

Professor Dr Md. Saiful Islam, Director of the university’s ICT Centre, confirmed the matter to the Media. He said candidates can now check their results on the official Rajshahi University website.

The candidates who have appeared on the admission test are advised to visit the admission portal at admission.ru.ac.bd. The merit status will be displayed on the screen after submitting the Roll Number.

The ‘B’ Unit admission test was held on 24 January. The examination took place in two shifts. The first shift ran from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, while the second shift was held from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Along with Rajshahi, the university organised the admission test in several other regions this year. These included Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, Rangpur, and Barishal. The multi-centre system was used to reduce travel pressure on students and ensure smoother exam management.

The ‘B’ Unit covers programmes under the Faculty of Business Studies and the Institute of Business Administration (IBA). In total, six academic departments are included under this unit. These programmes are among the most competitive at Rajshahi University due to strong demand from commerce and non-commerce students.

This year, the number of seats under the ‘B’ Unit has increased. The university has added five more seats, raising the total to 564. Last year, the number of seats was 559. University officials said the increase was made to accommodate growing student interest.

A large number of candidates applied for the ‘B’ Unit admission test this year. According to official data, 30,886 students submitted applications. Among them, 18,452 candidates were from the commerce group. The remaining 12,434 applicants came from non-commerce educational backgrounds. Candidates can now check the RU B Unit Result through the official website.

The high number of applicants highlights strong competition for limited seats. Admission experts say business-related programmes remain popular due to career opportunities in banking, finance, and corporate sectors in Bangladesh.

Students who appeared in the test are advised to carefully check their roll numbers and scores on the university website. Any further instructions related to merit lists, subject choice, and admission procedures will be announced by Rajshahi University through official notices.

University authorities said the next steps of the admission process will be shared in due course. Candidates are encouraged to follow official updates to avoid confusion and misinformation.
