Rajshahi University (RU) has published the results of the ‘B’ Unit admission test for first-year undergraduate (honours) programmes for the 2025–2026 academic session. The results cover candidates from the commerce and non-commerce groups.
According to the published data, the overall average pass rate in the two groups is 58.77 per cent. The admission test was held for limited seats in business-related and non-commerce subjects under the ‘B’ Unit.
Farhana Sultana Aishi secured first position in the commerce group. She is a student of Michael Madhusudan College in Jashore. Aishi scored 86.50 marks in the examination, according to the official result sheet.
In the non-commerce group, Shukria topped the humanities branch. She obtained 91.50 marks, the highest score among non-commerce candidates. In the science branch of the same group, Md. Rafikul Nehal secured first position. He scored 81.25 marks and is a student of Ishwardi Government College.
This year, a total of 30,886 candidates applied for the ‘B’ Unit admission test at Rajshahi University. Among them, 25,961 candidates appeared in the examination.
In the commerce group, 16,368 candidates sat for the test. Of them, 9,356 candidates passed, which means a pass rate of 57.16 per cent. In the non-commerce group, 9,593 candidates appeared. A total of 5,900 candidates passed, showing a higher pass rate of 61.50 per cent.
Rajshahi University has a total of 564 seats available under the ‘B’ Unit for the 2025–26 session. Of these, 375 seats are allocated for the commerce branch. The science branch has 158 seats, while the humanities branch has 31 seats.
The ‘B’ Unit mainly covers subjects related to business studies and selected non-commerce disciplines. It is one of the competitive units at Rajshahi University due to the limited number of seats compared to the number of applicants.
