The National University (NU) has published the Honours 1st Year Examination Routine 2026 for students of the 2024-25 academic session. According to the official schedule, written examinations will begin on July 27, 2026, and continue until September 20, 2026.
Only students who have successfully completed the form fill-up process will be eligible to participate in the examinations. The university confirmed the schedule through an official notice issued on June 10.
The notice was signed by MD Abdus Samad, Additional Exam Controller of the National University. Students have been advised to follow the published routine carefully and stay in contact with their respective colleges for any further instructions.
Exams to Start at 1:30 PM Daily
According to the published routine, all written examinations will start at 1:30 PM. The duration of each examination will depend on the instructions mentioned in the respective question papers.
The university said examinations will be conducted according to the announced schedule. However, the authority has reserved the right to revise the routine if any unavoidable situation arises.
On the first day of the examination, candidates will sit for History of Bangladesh: Language, Culture and Identity under the new syllabus and History of the Emergence of Independent Bangladesh under the old syllabus. Examinations of other departments will continue on different dates according to the routine.
Practical Examination Schedule Not Yet Announced
The National University stated that practical examination dates are not included in the current routine. Details regarding practical examinations will be announced separately by the respective colleges.
Students have been advised to regularly check official notices and maintain communication with their institutions for updates related to practical examinations and any changes to the examination schedule.
How Students Can Collect the Routine
The examination routine has been published on the National University’s official website. Students can download the routine by visiting the university website and locating the relevant notice in the examination or notice section.
After opening the routine notice, candidates can download the PDF file and review all examination dates, subject schedules, and instructions. Students are also encouraged to keep a printed copy for easy reference during exam preparation.
Form Fill-Up Deadline Extended
Alongside the routine announcement, the National University has extended the form fill-up deadline for Honours 1st Year candidates.
The revised deadline is now June 25, 2026. Previously, students were required to complete the process by June 11. Candidates who have not yet finished the required procedures have been advised to do so within the extended period.
Important Instructions for Candidates
The university has instructed candidates to arrive at their examination centres before the scheduled start time. Entry restrictions may apply after examinations begin.
Students should carry all required documents and follow the instructions issued by the examination authority and their colleges.
The National University said any future updates regarding practical examinations or changes to the examination schedule will be announced through official notices and institutional channels.
