Lava has introduced the Yuva Star 3 as the latest model in its Yuva Star series. The company first launched the series in August 2024 for first-time smartphone buyers. The new device will go on sale in India next month.

The Lava Yuva Star 3 runs on the Unisoc SC9863A processor. It comes with Android 15 Go edition, which is designed for entry-level devices. The phone offers a bloatware-free experience, meaning it does not include unwanted pre-installed apps.

The device has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Users can expand the storage up to 256GB using a microSD card.

The phone features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. A higher refresh rate helps the screen feel smoother during scrolling. The display includes a notch that houses a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

On the back, the phone has a dual-camera setup. The main camera uses a 13MP sensor. Lava has not shared detailed information about the second rear camera.

The Yuva Star 3 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery. It supports charging up to 10W through a USB Type-C port. The company claims the large battery is suitable for daily use, including calls, browsing, and media playback.

Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. The phone also supports anonymous voice call recording. It carries an IP64 rating, which means it has protection against dust and light water splashes.

The handset will be available in two colours: Indus Black and Siachen White. Lava has priced the device at INR 7,499, which is about $83 or €70. The company said it will offer free home service support with the phone in India.

The launch adds another affordable option in the entry-level smartphone segment. More details about availability in other markets, including Bangladesh, have not yet been announced.
